Terms and conditions

All new JASIC welders, plasma cutters and multi-process units sold through our partner ORACLE WELDING within South Africa, shall be warrantied to the original owner, non-transferable, against failure due to defective materials or production. The warranty period is 2 or 3 years following the date of purchase, depending on the model you have purchased This can be confirmed by the distributor you have purchased from or from our spec sheets. We recommend you register your product online within 28 days of purchase.

  • The original invoice is documentation for the standard 2 or 3 year warranty period.
  • Defective units shall be repaired or replaced by ORACLE WELDING at our service facility. ORACLE WELDING may opt to refund the purchase price (less any costs and depreciation due to use and wear). The company reserves the right to alter the warranty conditions at any time with effect for the future.
  • A prerequisite for the full warranty is that products are operated in accordance with the operating instructions supplied, observing the relevant installation and any legal requirements recommendations and guidelines and carrying out the maintenance instructions shown in the operator manual. 
  • Maintenance should be carried out by a suitably qualified competent person.
  • Any warranty repairs may only be carried out by our partner ORACLE WELDING otherwise the warranty will be invalidated.
  • The customer has no claim to loan or replacement products whilst repairs are being performed.
  • In the unlikely event of a problem, it should be reported to the distributor who will make contact with our technical support team to review the claim.
  • ORACLE WELDING will arrange at its expense to collect from and return to our distributor, in South Africa, equipment to be repaired under warranty.

The following falls outside the scope of the warranty:
  • Defects due to natural wear and tear.

  • Failure to observe the operating and maintenance instructions.

  • Connection to an incorrect or faulty mains supply.

  • Overloading during use.

  • Any modifications that are made to the product without the prior written approval of ORACLE WELDING.

  • Software errors due to incorrect operation.

  • Any repairs that are carried out using non-approved spare parts

  • Any transport or storage damage.

  • The warranty period is based on a single shift pattern of 8 hours per day. 

  • Direct or indirect damage as well as any loss of earnings are not covered under the warranty

  • External damage such as fire or damage due to natural causes, e.g., flooding.

NOTE: Under the terms of the warranty; welding torches, their consumable parts, wire feed unit drive rolls and guide tubes, work return cables and clamps, electrode holders, connection and extension cables, mains and control leads, plugs, wheels, coolant, etc. are covered with a 3-month warranty.

ORACLE WELDING shall in no event be responsible for any third party expense costs or any indirect or consequential expenses/costs.

ORACLE WELDING will submit an invoice for any repair work performed outside the scope of the warranty.

A quotation for any non warranty will be raised prior to any repairs being carried out.

The decision about repair or replacement of the defective part(s) is made by our partner ORACLE WELDING. The replaced part(s) remain(s) ORACLE WELDING'S property.

Warranty extends only to the machine, its accessories and parts contained inside. No other warranty is expressed or implied. No warranty is expressed or implied in regards to the fitness of the product for any particular application or use.

The warranty period of your JASIC welding or cutting equipment is subject to the following conditions:

The warranty is subject to the equipment being maintained in accordance with the details shown in the instruction manual and on the Maintenance form. It is recommended that any maintenance be carried by a suitably qualified and competent person.

JASIC South Africa reserves the right to contact users who have registered for extended warranty from time to time in the form of new product launches etc. Users reserve the right to unsubscribe at any time from any email communication.

Important Note:

The warranty only applies to JASIC inverters supplied from stock that originated from ORACLE WELDING.
If you are outside of South Africa please check with your local supplier to see if the product came with a warranty.

If the product wasn't distributed to your supplier via ORACLE WELDING, the warranty is not with ORACLE WELDING but the supplier of that product.
